Boisy L. Shelton has been a member of the Maybinton community for almost fifty years.  He was ordained as a Deacon of Seekwell Baptist Church in 2012.  Over the years, he has become an activist in improving his community.   Boisy is known for his love of baseball, coaching, mentoring and his giving spirit.

Boisy worked at Phillip’s Industries from 1969-1974 and retired for South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) in 2012. Boisy has been married to his wife Fannie Dawkins Shelton for over forty years. Deacon Shelton has three daughters, Sheila Harris, Beth Brooks (Brian) and Kim (Derrick).  He is also the proud grandfather or papa, as he is affectionately known, to five grandchildren, Shelton, Brayden, Logann, Kade, and Khloe.
