James Albert Sanders Jr., is a native of Maybinton, SC and is the son of the late James “Pap” and Sallie J. Sanders Sr. A graduate of the Newberry County school system and has been employed with Cone Mill in Carlisle, SC for 48 years. Deacon Sanders volunteers his services with the Maybinton Community Fire Department.

Deacon Sanders is devoted to serving God and his people. He has been a member of the Seekwell Baptist Church for 49 years and God has blessed him to be of services to his church. He served as a Trustee and Trustee Chair. Deacon Sanders currently serves as a Deacon and has done so for 28 years. He has also served as Chair for 11 years. Deacon Sanders also serves as an active member of the Usher Board, All Male Choir, Gospel Choir and teaches Sunday School.

Deacon Sanders has three sons, one daughter and eight grandchildren. He loves the Lord with all his heart and will tell you “he can’t count his many blessings”.
