Our Pastor
Rev. William E. Rice, a native of Union South Carolina, he is the son Viola Rice and the late Dea. John Lee Rice Sr. He attended the public school system of Union County and is a graduate of South Carolina State University, were he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is also a graduate of Morris College School of Religion Extension where he received his Ministerial Certificate.
He was received in Christ at an early age and baptized at Bethel Baptist Church of Jonesville, South Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor James E. Tillotson.
He attended First Nazareth Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Blakely N. Scott. He was License to preach the Gospel in 2008 by the First Nazareth Baptist Church. and later ordained to preach the Gospel in 2011 by the Authority and order of the Midlands Baptist Association, Inc. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., served as president of the FNBC Brotherhood Chorus, served as the Men’s Day Chairperson 2007 & 2008; H is the 2012 honoree of the Living Legacy Award. He presently is employed with Serazen LLC / Hardee’s with over 27 years of service.
Married to the former Virginia Cohen, they are parents of Minister Shaunfhillip Dash and Sabrina Caldwell and three Grandchildren Kylan Caldwell, Teyla Caldwell and David Devon Caldwell II. He has two brothers, Scott (Serena) Rice and John Lee Rice Jr. and one loving sister, Madelyn Rice.
Rev. Rice philosophy in life is his favorite Scripture is Philippians 3: 13-14:13] Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. 14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
